Club Bowls Afternoon

Thirty members,partners and friends enjoyed an afternoon of bowling at Wrenbury Bowling Club on Friday 14th August.

Fortunately the weather had cooled down from the heat of the previous day, so being out on the bowling green for a couple of hours was quite comfortable. T

The majority of the bowlers were complete novices, never having bowled before. Thankfully we had some expert guidance from seasoned players Peter Bourne and Norman and Jen Bourne who organised the matches and instructed us in the dark art of finger or thumb!

Our grateful thanks for their time and patience.

After a very enjoyable time on the green we adjourned to The Berries cafe where Kelly, the proprietor, had organised a delicious and very welcome cream tea.

During the tea the winning pair were announced and this was Clay Barber and Peter Morris. Congratulations to them both.
