Probus Walk Monday 23 March 2015

A party of 11 plus one dog set off at 10am from the Lord Combermere across the fields at Mount Pleasant to the cricket ground at Gorse Croft and then to Buerton (via Bernard Gribbins grass lane to his field -the alternative route was wet and muddy).

Time for coffee at the Buerton Memorial and off along Windmill Lane to Bunsey Bank and sparrowy spout and up to Monks lane.

The footpath was boggy here so continued along the lane to the site of Audlem Old Mill and joining the footpath to Mill Lane passing the Bowls Club to return to the Combermere for a very enjoyable lunch.

A 4.5 mile walk with a number of styles completed in 2.5 hours.

The next Probus walk is being organised by Mike Harthern and Joe Hoyles. It will take place on Wednesday 29th April meeting at the Bhurtpore Inn at Aston at 10.15am for 10.30am start and returning there for lunch. Please note this a change of venue
