Christmas Meeting At Adderley

The Christmas meeting at Adderley this year heard Peter Taunton tell of his life as a Town Crier.
As befits his profession he was a larger than life person with a booming voice !

He told of his fascinating life as Town Crier of Stafford and Newport and amusing anecdotes of his training on Cannock Chase disturbing the bird twitchers.

This was followed by our traditional Light Christmas lunch, this year provided in splendid fashion by Sue Clark, Margaret Hodgson, Jan Evans, and Pat Smith.

They were thanked by our President Roland Hall and followed by a stand up comedy act ? by Alan Hodgson.
