Joe Hoyles Accident

Regrettably we've learned that Joe Hoyles met with an accident on Friday 26th March. A ladder that he was using slipped and fell down bringing Joe with it.

Consequently he's suffered a broken shoulder and a broken hip. He's been told that the shoulder will heal by itself, whilst doctors at Royal Stoke carried out a hip replacement on, of all days, 1st April, Fool's Day!

Jane, his wife, has nothing but praise for all the NHS staff who've cared for him, from the very prompt response by the ambulance service to the care by the doctors and nurses who are looking after him.

She says he's coming along very well but as yet, no date for a return home.
