Members and guests left from Audlem car park at 9.30 a.m on a misty morning with an almost full coach.
We enjoyed a delightful ride through the welsh countryside, arriving at Betws y Coed in glorious sunshine in good time for a late coffee/early lunch and stroll round the town.
We departed at 12.30 pm on the coach for a quick transfer to the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railway station where we picked up the 1.30pm train to Minfford. The journey lasted about an hour, enjoying spectacular views en route, whilst partaking of snacks and beverages supplied by the train crew.
Our coach met us once again for a very quick transfer to Portmeirion where we had time to explore and enjoy Clough William-Ellis' development in glorious sunshine.
We departed at 4.30pm for the journey back to Audlem, arriving at 6.45pm after an enjoyable day.
