Probus Walk June 2014
Members, ladies, and a dog — some twenty of us in all assembled at Brookfield Golf Club for our June walk last Tuesday.
The weather was set fair and after a little weeding of the Brookfield Flower tubs by Jan Evans (See photo), we set off towards Bridgemere Lane and turning into Peewit lane.
At this point we left the roads and made our way through pleasant countryside much of it sown with crops and meeting heifers, bullocks and pigs on the way.
Back towards the golf course looking out for flying balls! and down the drive to Longhill Lane towards Hankelow and subsequently Brookfield for a well earned drink and lunch.
Mike Harthern measured the distance travelled as 4.75 miles on his Garmin and more details of the walk can be seen by opening the pdf file opposite.
Roland Hall worked his magic on the weather, so an enjoyable outing was had by all taking part. Thanks again Roland.
