Volunteers for Social Secretary

The cornerstones of the success of our Audlem and District Probus Club have been the excellent speakers we have each two weeks, but also especially the social activities organised every year for members and guests.

The programme each year has been centered around the Club holiday, usually in May, when members and guests have thoroughly enjoyed, well organised 4/5 day holidays. In addition typically we have enjoyed 6-8 social events or visits to places of interest each year.

But these things do not just happen – they require a good deal of hard work and commitment by our Social Secretary team.

For several years now John and Jan Evans have done tremendous work in organising these holidays, visits, and social evenings. Their attention to detail, and commitment have provided some wonderful occasions in which we have all shared and enjoyed. We owe them both a tremendous vote of thanks.

However, not unreasonably, John has now indicated that he would like pass the baton to a new volunteer(s) to undertake this important work for the Club membership.

He is seeking one or more volunteers to assist in this coming year in organising social events with a view to taking on the Social Secretary role next year.
